Questions fréquentes

How many clips can I merge?
Up to 20 clips at a time, with the total combined size limited to about 2 GB for reliable browser performance.
Do the clips need to have the same format?
Not necessarily — we re-encode differing clips into a common format. If they already match, we use stream copy for instant, lossless merging.
What is the output format?
MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio — compatible everywhere.
Is the quality preserved?
When clips share the same codec, stream copy keeps quality bit-identical. When re-encoding is needed, a high-quality preset is applied by default.
Can I add transitions between clips?
Not currently. Merging is a direct concatenation. For transitions, use a dedicated video editor after merging.
Do the files leave my device?
No. Everything runs in your browser via FFmpeg.wasm.
